About

Kevin Heald
Kevin has been involved with computers since learning to program in Basic on a Texas Instruments his parent’s bought (Mad Libs anyone?). Since then, I credit most of what I know about computers to trying to get games to work on our follow-on computer…a PCjr.
Professionally I started working as a help desk guy at a law firm in 1998 but made the move to work for DoD in 2000 and haven’t looked back since. I was involved very early on in the Department of Defense (DoD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Program and continue to be involved in the program today. I have also worked supporting collaboration solutions, directories, identity management, and security. I do my best to keep a pulse on next generation technologies (such as Web 2.0 and social networking) and how they may apply to the government.
